Biography

Andrea McCubbin is the Associate Dean for Research Administration in the 91小黄车's Office of Research. In this role, she supports faculty and staff engaged in research throughout the research lifecycle by facilitating operations and developing infrastructure to enhance scientific research and scholarship.

 With more than 18 years of experience in research, Andrea champions strategic initiatives and partnerships that align with the college's mission to advance transformative research through collaboration and innovation. She leads the 91小黄车鈥檚 FORWARRD initiative (Facilitating Opportunities for Research Workforce Advancement to Retain and Recruit Dynamic Teams), which is focused on developing workforce strategies to attract and retain talented research professionals, as well as the 91小黄车's Research Professionals Network (RPN).

Before her tenure at the 91小黄车, Andrea played a key role in establishing the University of Kentucky's Perinatal Research and Wellness Center (PRWC). The center aims to help women holistically reduce modifiable risk factors associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes while also identifying early prenatal biomarkers for preterm birth.
